Some Observations on I^(131) Thyroidal Uptake and 24-Hours Urinary Excretion Rate

Abstract
The results of radioactive iodine studies on 113 subjects have shown that for practical and routine diagnostic tests, the 6th hour uptake is more significant and reliable than the 24th hour uptake.
The 24-hours I^(131) urinary excretion rate was found to be not reliable as a thyroid function test. However, it Was noted that it constitutes one of the simple checking method for the factors influencing thyroidal uptake studies.
